Ecco le parole dell’autore: “I submitted these images to the expert in the Green Flash , he happens to be the professor of Astronomy at SDSU Andy Young. The amazing distortion of sun and extremely pronounced green , blue and violet flashes are caused by the sun passing through different temperature layers , similar he said to layers of a cake…..the layers on the surface were kept intact by a remarkably windless upper atmosphere and little or no surface winds. He drew my attention to the black sunspots that were distorting as the sun passed into different temperature gradients…..Clearly we only know the fringes of the marvels of our planet. One of if not the most unique green rim on the surface sun ….two floaters above that and green limbs on the elevated …. Incredible……and I have seen a lot of them …. Andy Young called it a “ complex thermal structure” and a result of “ strong thermal inversions , with light winds so the layers did not get mixed out”.
