“The circle of ice 
It is often called a Moon ring or winter halo. In fact, this is an atmospheric phenomenon caused by ice-crystals. The Moonlight is refracted in millions of those hexagonal shaped ice crystals floating high in the atmosphere. During one of the nights we witnessed such an amazing halo just above the dome of Clay 6.5-m Magellan telescope at Las Campanas observatory. I hope you’ll enjoy the view”.
